This is so good and so true! I get the part about not thinking the other end of the cord is the problem and not thinking that cutting the cord is the solution. But how would you describe what "dropping the cord" entails?

Great question, Caroline. For me it comes down to three things. First, noticing and naming the unwanted experiences that I keep having on repeat. Then, figuring out what my contribution is - in other words, what specific behaviors or beliefs of mine are recreating the dynamic that I don't want? And finally, stopping myself when I see myself doing and thinking those things.
